Hi Lions Clubs of District A15,

November is Diabetes Awareness Month and Diabetes Canada is asking that we hold a Diabetes Tag Day in our communities on a date that works for your club. I have attached the information on how to get your kits. Kits can be ordered by emailing Tony Orangis at Tony Orangis -> mailto:tony [period] orangis [snail] diabetes [period] ca.

Also a reminder that World Diabetes Day is November 14th. It would be great to hold your Tag Day on a Saturday or Sunday near this date. If you don't wish to participate in Tag Day, maybe there is something else you would like to do to make those in your community aware that it's Diabetes Awareness Month. Clubs in the past have held breakfasts, lit a bridge with blue lights or just had an information day for those wishing to know more.

If you do participate in World Diabetes Day or Diabetes Awareness Month, please be sure to send me photos and a write up of what you did to promote your event and of course please be sure to document your event on MyLion.
