The 2015-2016 Lions Year in Review
- Achieved a net positive membership growth
- Established the position of Information Technology (IT) Coach to provide on-site computer assistance, as needed, to our District clubs
- Added two new service committees :
- Gift of Life
- Special Olympics
- Your District Governor acted as Vice-Council at the MDA level
- As of June 13th there were 48, 992 service hours logged with International!!
- The policies and procedures for the District were revised and job descriptions were created for committee chairs
- District committees were organized as:
- Administration
- Programs
- Youth
- Special Projects
- An updated Volunteer Screening and Police Check policy was prepared
- Our GMT/GLT chairs held a membership workshop and a training session for club leaders
- A very successful District convention was held in Elmira with a total attendance of 471
- In preparation for the 100th anniversary of Lions International our District has begun planning and executing a Legacy project. This project will be entranceway stone pillars to be erected at the entrance to the dog breeding facility on Chilligo Road in Breslau
