GUENTHER: George David

Passed away peacefully on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. George Guenther of Milverton in his 82nd year.

Beloved husband of Joan (nee Gropp) Guenther whom he married August 4, 1962. Dear father of Greg & wife Kathy and Doug & wife Julia all of Milverton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Lucas, Leanna, Mike and by great grandchildren Silas, Nolan and Lila. Survived by his sister Eleanor Bray of Calgary and his brother-in-law David Chalmers of Elmira and by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Gordon & Margaret (Chalmers) Guenther, his sister Frances and husband John Tomiuk and sister-in-law Rose Chalmers.

George proudly operated his family business Guenther's Bakery that has operated in Milverton for 127 years, George having operated it for the past 64 years. He was a member of the Milverton Lions Club for 55 years, was a avid snowmobiler and had a love of travel.

Relatives and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St. Milverton on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private family graveside service will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton. (Face masks and distancing is required for visitation)

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth, Milverton Lions Club or the Milverton Legion would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be posted at www.markjutzifuneralhomes.ca
