Doug Paddon
Suddenly at his home in Dundas on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Marjory (2013) and loving father to Paul (Cindy), the late John (2019) (Mina) and Melissa Dawson (Greg). Grandpa/Poppa to his 5 grandchildren: Noah, Rachel, Jack, Oliver and Miles. Sadly missed by his sister Nancy Smith (Michael). Doug was a serial entrepreneur, founder of Paddon Paper Supply, the Copetown General Store, Grey Goose Antiques and Willow Works; he was a Charter Member of the Copetown Lions Club, long time member of Copetown Woodchippers and volunteer with Dundas Real McCoy's. When not working events with the Lions Club, Doug could be found at his favourite place, his cottage in Port Elgin, among family and friends. A celebration of Doug's life will be held at the Copetown Community Centre on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 1-3 p.m., with a Service and Memories at 2 p.m., and a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton General Hospital Foundation or Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated. To share a memory or post condolence, see Doug's obituary at www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.ca
