Boelke, Wolfgang Otto Willi

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wolfgang Otto Willi Boelke on Tuesday November 22, 2022 at the Hamilton General Hospital. Born in Botzow Germany July 2nd, 1942. Beloved husband of Judith Boelke (nee Brown). Predeceased by his parents Willi and Elsa. Loving and supportive Dad of Pamela Renneberg (Brent) Much loved Papa of Kaitlyn Monarch and adored Great Grandpa of Gracie. Fondly remembered by Brock and Andy Renneberg. Brother of Herb Boelke (Bonnie) Predeceased by brother Peter (Linda) Uncle of Willi, Danny (Joanne), Donovan (Lory), Sara (Stuart), Sonia (Ken) and Chris (Connie) Great Uncle to Ethan, Bradley, Emma, Liam, Jason, Danielle, Jasmine, Jessica, Nicholas, Erin.

PRC Lion Wolfgang Boelke was a dedicated member of the Lions club for over 27 years. He joined Lionism in Waterloo with the Waterloo Lions Club. After moving to Guelph, he joined the Guelph Lions Club, then the Guelph Royal City Lions Club where he served as past president. He was a guiding Lion for the Ariss Branch Lions Club when it was chartered in 2009. Became a charter member of the Ariss Lions Club, now the Ariss and Maryhill Lions Club in 2011. He was two time Zone Chair of 51 East, two-time Region Chair of Region 51, a Guiding Lion, Extension Chair for the MERL Committee. A dedicated supporter and worker for the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, training centre, breeding centre Breslau and Canada Lions Memorial Forest, Breslau Ontario. He was a Lions Club International Melvin Jones Fellow, a Lions Quest Fellow, a Lions Foundation of Canada Fellow, Life member of the Lions Foundation of Canada, Life member of Lions Dialysis Camp Dorset and had the pleasure to receive Lion Of The Year award 1991-1992. Wolfgang possessed great woodworking skills. Initially honing his skills as a casket craftsman. Pursing kitchen cabinetry making and passionate for making furniture. Wolfgang was a dedicated and longstanding employee of Eiwo Canadian Management Ltd. He cherished his role as Santa Claus at many functions over the years and loved nothing more than relaxing with family and friends at the log home. Auf Wiedersehen, the pain of missing you is a beautiful reminder of the joy of loving you.

Friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Thursday December 1,2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Oakhill Cemetery, Brantford. In leu of flowers donations can be made to Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides Program. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.mccleisterfuneralhome.ca
