Born in Listowel, son of the late Dick and Rita (nee Capling) Illman. Earl will be missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Marg (Smith). Loved father of Shelley Smith (Dan Curl) of Mount Forest and Shannon Schweitzer (Tim) of Stratford. Also survived by grandchildren Brittany Clune (Wes), Brandon Smith (Cassandra), Christine Penney (Wes), Maggie Frey (Scott), Paige Mcleod (Scott), and seven great- grandchildren. Fondly remembered by Jake Curl (Trevor), Josh Curl (Sarah) and family. Sadly missed by brother-in-law Gary Smith, Ken Smith (Deb), and sister-in-law Orma Mackay. His presence at family gatherings will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He retired after many years working at Cooper Standard Products, Mitchell Plant. Earl and Marg had lots of good years with their Monkton friends and also enjoyed camping at Family Paradise and travelling. Earl was a proud member of Monkton Lions Club. His greatest love was spending time with his children, grandchildren and the snapchats of his great- grandchildren. Since moving to Stratford in 2005, Earl enjoyed playing Cribbage, Crokinole, and Pepper, He loved baking and was famous for his carrot cake and shortbread cookies. His treats will be missed by many.
