Maitland Kenneth Moneypenny
Passed away peacefully in the palliative care unit of Freeport Hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday May 10th, 2022 at the age of 77 years.

With a smile in his eyes and love and gratitude in his heart, Ken/Buzz died as he lived. His dedication to helping others and being of service to the community was evident in his 48+ year membership with the Lions Club. As a Veteran of the Canadian Navy (HMCS Bonaventure) he truly enjoyed sharing time and stories with fellow Veterans and many friends at the Legion. The pride Ken felt in being a Lion and Legion member was second only to the pride he had for his family. Always eager to plan events that brought everyone together and keep the generations in touch.

Ken’s love for life, laughter and adventure brought him to many places and connected him to many wonderful friends and colleagues along the way.

He will be greatly missed but forever cherished by his Daughter’s Dena Clarke and Abbey Thomson. His Son-in-law Ron Thomson; Grandchildren Olivia and Carter Clarke and Nathan and Norah Thomson; Brother Don Moneypenny (Alma); his many nieces, nephews, and cousins and all the incredible friends he was surrounded by.

Buzzy has joined the good company of those who passed before him; Brothers John and Duncan and Parents, Joseph and Rhodena Moneypenny

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lions Service Dogs of Canada (https://dogguides.com/donate.html). Tribute/In memory of Lion Ken Moneypenny as expressions of sympathy.
