Bob Davey, 82, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
Beloved husband of Janice Davey. Dear father of Steve Davey (Susan) and Kevin Davey (Maryse). Loving grandfather of Ben (Abbey), Madison and Kate. Cherished great grandfather of William. Dear brother of Ruth Sholdice (Roger), Lois Lanteigne (Bryan), Dorothy Brant and Anne Massar (David). Dear brother-in-law of Ron Patterson, Edna Hotson and Keith Patterson (Janet). Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Henry and Esther Davey, brothers-in-law Claude Lanteigne, Gerry McFarland and Don Hotson and sister-in-law Pat Patterson.
Bob farmed in Logan Township for many years until his retirement to Mitchell when he was able to pursue his passions in woodworking and gardening. He was involved on various agricultural Boards and Committees and was a member of the Monkton Lions Club.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Thursday, October 3 from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Memorial donations to Diabetes Canada, Mitchell Community Food Bank (Salvation Army) or charity of one's choice would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
