Chittaway Lions (Australia) ran raffles and held a Bunnings barbecue to raise money to buy a blanket warmer for local hospital. The club also delivers care packs of soap, a washcloth, comb, toothpaste and a toothbrush to the hospital.

Some of you already do this I'm sure, but perhaps instead of always giving our good used clothing to the Salvation Army, or the Diabetes Association, (both very worthy causes) we could collect them from family and friends and donate clothing to a Shelter? I'm sure babies to teenagers clothing would ...

I'm thinking strategically located Little Libraries in areas where there are senior citizens who don't get about as much in the winter... Or on another slant, perhaps even a "Lions Little Library" Delivery Service to the seniors who can't get out in the winter, or "shut-ins", Working in Conjunction ...
